Wallasey Scout Post

Wallasey Scout Post is run in conjunction with Wallasey District Scouts and Wallasey Girl Guiding. It is part of the bigger scheme of Wirral Charity Christmas Post and has run for the past ten years at the Wallasey District Scout Centre, although the Post has been running for over thirty five.
There are several hundred people involved in the Scout Post, just in Wallasey, who ensure that your Christmas card wearing the Scout Post stamp is delivered to the address on the envelope. This process involves group personnel, shopkeepers, parents, friends of Scouting and Guiding, all sections of Scouts and Guides and the general public. This is repeated in another four areas of Wirral.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions it has become impossible to run the Scout Post Scheme in our usual way. The Scheme is working behind the scenes to provide a new system, so keep a watch on the main website at Wirral Charity Christmas Post.
An online Christmas card website has been running instead, which allows you to send a card, anywhere in the world, for a donation.
Wallasey District Scout Centre
The Wallasey District Scout Centre is the home of the Wallasey District Explorers. It also hosts the meetings of the District Team and Sections along with training courses for District, County and outside of Scouting. Wallasey Scout Post is run from the Centre each year.
If you would further information about using the Scout Centre please contact the Scouter in Charge.
Wallasey District Scouts
Wallasey has been actively Scouting since 1908 and is continuing to thrive today with young people numbers only being contained by the number of adults volunteering to help. Scouting allows young people to take part activities from arts and crafts to water activities to visits abroad and of course camping. Adults help in various capacities, mainly as leaders, but also behind the scenes through group committees, maintenance of buildings, gang shows and Scout Post.
Wallasey Scout District has 8 active groups operating. All groups have three sections – Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Wallasey also runs one Explorer Scout Unit. There is also a District Boathouse running a variety of water based courses throughout the year. Contact info@scoutboathouse.org for further information. The District also has available for use by qualified persons: bellboats, paddleboards, kayaks and open canoes. Use is by booking and agreeing to terms and conditions. Contact alisonmoxley@outlook.com for further information.
