Wallasey Explorers is a vibrate active unit based in the very centre of Wallasey. The unit meets regularly at least once a week, taking part in a variety of activities and events. Young people aged 14-17 are welcome to join. Current members are or have been part of the Jamboree Contingent to South Korea, County Explorer Belt to Hungary, Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and Queen’s Scout expeditions to Scotland, the World Jamboree to the USA, Roverway 2018 to Holland and the European Jamboree to Poland. Any young people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme with local schools and who wish to complete the service of the Award with a Scouting section or group are very welcome. However they must contact the Explorer Commissioner for Wallasey BEFORE starting any service, with any section or group, as there is a registration procedure in place and training must be undertaken.
