Wallasey has been actively Scouting since 1908 and is continuing to thrive today with young people numbers only being contained by the number of adults volunteering to help. Scouting allows young people to take part activities from arts and crafts to water activities to visits abroad and of course camping. Adults help in various capacities, mainly as leaders, but also behind the scenes through group committees, maintenance of buildings, gang shows and Scout Post.
Wallasey Scout District has 10 active groups operating. All, but one group, have three sections – Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Wallasey also runs one successful Explorer Scout Unit. There is also a District Boathouse running a variety of water based courses throughout the year. Contact email@example.com for further information. The District also has available for use by qualified persons, a trailer of bellboats and open canoes. Use is by booking and agreeing to terms and conditions.
