Wallasey Scout Post is run in conjunction with Wallasey Girl Guiding. It is part of the bigger scheme of Wirral Charity Christmas Post and has run for the past seven years at the Wallasey District Scout Centre. There are several hundred people involved in the Scout Post, just in Wallasey, who ensure that your Christmas card wearing the Scout Post stamp is delivered to the address on the envelope. This process involves group personnel, shopkeepers, parents, friends of Scouting and Guiding, all sections of Scouts and Guides and the general public. This is repeated in another four areas of Wirral. Volunteers are always being looked for to help with the afternoon or evening sorts or within group for sorting and delivering. Have you got a couple of hours to spare? Look at the dates until the Scout Post tab above and contact us via the Wirral Charity Christmas Post website.
Wirral Christmas Charity Post has been operating for over 25 years and has donating over £500,000 in that time to local charities as well as supporting over 40 different scout and guide groups or sections. Wallasey operates a sorting office each year which handles at least 200,000 cards in the run up to Christmas. Further information about the post can be obtained from the Wirral Charity Post website.
